Bulgaria: if you're looking for an exotic mix of everything from gorgeous beaches to awe-inspiring cathedrals and diverse winter sports, this is probably one of the best available choices in Europe. This is a brilliant travel destination that few people are familiar with. For a taste of local culture, make sure to visit during one of the main holidays – such as the Baba Marta (March 1st) and Assumption day (August 15th). As far as Bulgaria flights go, the four International airports in this country are located in Burgas, Plovdiv, and of course … the capital Sofia. From any of these airports, you can find low cost transportation from/to the major countries in Western Europe, including Germany and England. Neighbouring countries include Romania (N), Serbia (NW), Greece (S), Turkey (SE) and the Republic of Macedonia (SW). As you may imagine, this is a privileged location if you’re planning to travel along land routes from Europe to the Middle East. Just remember there should be no rush to exit Bulgaria; you’ll be surprised with its touristic offerings, if you take some time to roam around.
