Once a Soviet occupied country, Estonia is now a proud member of the EU. As such, this is a great place to see remnants of the Soviet era, together with gorgeous medieval towns. The charms of Estonia go much further, including a good selection of astounding beaches (although if you're planning to swim, you should know the summer time is scarce). This is a great place to visit if you enjoy savouring natural scenes, a passion that most of the locals share. Additionally, you may want to experience the National Holiday on February 24th (when a glorious ball is part of the tradition), or the Midsummer Day celebration, where traditional feasts are held throughout the land in the night between 23 and 24 June. Estonia is located in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. Its neighbours include Latvia and Russia, as well as Finland and Sweden, across the Baltic Sea. There are low cost flights Estonia flights available to/from the major European capitals, as well as to the main Scandinavian and Baltic cities - such as Vilnius, Oslo and Stockholm.
