The southern Irish city of Waterford is the oldest city in Ireland and is the fifth most populous. Waterford Airport (WAT) is six kilometres south of the city and is accessible by many European and UK airports. Low cost flights to Cork are convenient when searching for alternative budget options, bringing travellers 103 kilometres to the west of Waterford. Dunmore East is a lovely fishing village to the south, to the north are the Comeragh Mountains that feature Mahon Falls, and the city is perhaps best known for the Waterford Crystal export, with the Waterford Crystal Factory being just a ten-minute trip by car from the city centre.
