Trondheim is located in central Norway and, despite being one of the country’s oldest cities, is a major cultural influence because of a huge array of art, music, alternative politics and nightlife it has to offer. The city boasts some beautiful buildings, including wooden mansions and harbour buildings. The river Nidelva is one of Trondheim’s main attractions, among others, along with Nidarosdomen, which is the only major gothic cathedral in Norway. The Trondheim Airport (TRD) is just 40 minutes away from the city centre, and receives flights from various locations throughout Norway and the rest of Europe. There are no other major airports close to Trondheim, but check all flight times and date to find the best possible deals.
