Situated on the Gulf of Aqaba at the northern-most tip of the Red Sea Riviera, Taba is a small town just on the border between Egypt and Israel. Taba International Airport (TCP), formerly Al Nakb Airport, is located 35 kilometres from the city and offers flights from all over the world. The casino at the Hilton in Taba is one of the largest tourist destinations here, and Taba is the centre for diving in the Red Sea; a special treat is the view from Castle Zaman from which guests can view the mountain ranges of four countries (Jordan, Israel, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia) from a single vantage point. Even though Sharm El Sheik flights come in around 183 kilometres to the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula it is not recommended that you use this airport as a layover because it will cost too much to transfer from one airport to the other.
