Macedonia has two international airports of which Orhid “St. Paul the Apostle” Airport is the smallest with flights arriving from several European cities. Ohrid is known for its relaxing charm and glorious beauty complimented a stunning national park, lakes, fortresses and historical museums – it is in fact said to be the jewel in Macedonia's crown. Ohrid Airport may also be useful for travelling onwards to Albania due to it's close proximity to the Albanian border with regular bus services available from Orhid station. Budget flights to Skopje could represent an alternative if you cannot find a flight to Ohrid, but the drive between Skopje airport and Orhid is approximately 200km, so this driving option may not suit all.
