Founded around 2003, Wizz Air is strong Hungarian airline with a main focus on no-frills operations. With headquarters close to Budapest, it serves regular passenger flights to many of the top European cities. By 2011, it offers a good selection of 66 destinations and works under the motto "we can all fly now", a testament to its philosophy of serving a low-cost service.
At the time, the Wizz Air fleet was comprised of thirty five Airbus A320-232 airplanes, with average age under three years. Even though its prices are very competitive, Wizz Air is not known to be exceedingly customer-friendly, and plentiful reports of disgruntled customers have surfaced over the years - although the company has been committed to improving this aspect of their business.
From the official website, an impressive selection of services are available, including the option to pay a bit extra for priority boarding, and discounts of up to 50% on partner hotels and car rentals; another interesting option is a delay warranty, in which credit is awarded to passengers when a flight happens to be delayed.
