TUIfly

Airline name: TUIfly

TUIfly ICAO code: HLX

TUIfly website: www.tuifly.com

Formed around 2007 as a merger of smaller airlines with a branch of TUI travel, TUIfly is the third largest airline in Germany, as of 2011 - at which time it established a partnership with AirBerlin (through which most domestic flights are operated) . It provides charter services as well as no-frills scheduled passenger flights, mostly focused on popular holiday destinations across the world. As at 2011 the TUIfly fleet consisted of nearly forty Boeing airplanes (models 737-700 and 737-800), with average age of seven years. It serves flights across a network of thirty six destinations. Even though it's a low-cost airline, TUI fly does offer complimentary treats on certain flights, and even caters free hot meals in long-distance international flights. Following the trend with most modern airlines, TUIfly provides several tie-in services which are available through the official website - such as the possibility of finding a car hire or booking a hotel, including special offers which are regularly available at a discounted price.
